Jewelry Care
My jewels are made of real dried flowers, UV resin and a different combination of metals: 925 silver, bronze, stainless steel, brass, 14k gold filled (you can find information on the specific material of each jewel on its page).
Most are nickel-free and hypoallergenic, but if you want to be sure, contact me before ordering! (You can tell me which piece of jewelry you're interested in, and I'll be able to tell you for sure whether it's nickel-free and hypoallergenic.)
How to care for your DM Jewelry:
Regardless of the material, all jewelry can tarnish over time, so taking proper care of it is crucial!
Here are my tips:
- Store them in a closed place, in their box or microfibre bag, away from sources of heat and humidity;
- Clean them with a special cloth as soon as you notice that they are starting to oxidize;
- Remove them before washing your hands/bathing/showering and do not use them at the beach, swimming pool or spa;
- Make sure they don't come into contact with lotions or perfumes;
Other factors that can cause or accelerate this process are the skin's pH, some creams, perfume, thermal waters, and detergents.
As for the jewelry I create using the lost-wax casting process , then cast in 925 silver and bronze, I refer you to this page for more detailed information on both materials!
Flowers and resin:
I choose to use both hand-dried flowers that I make myself and those purchased from professional retailers. Over time, dried flowers tend to lose their vibrant color and turn white, and the resin will tend to yellow over the years; this is a completely natural process.
For these reasons too, I recommend following the instructions above to take the best care of my jewelry.
However, for personalized jewelry and for all jewelry created in wax , I use the best resin on the market , which comes directly from Japan .
Tested for significantly better quality and to last longer !
Why don't I use it for all my jewelry? Because it's expensive, so it's ideal for jewelry that you want to last forever.
